Glimpses is a book that presents seven essays on the Mexican short story of the second half of the 20th century. These texts are: “The Names of Characters and Spaces in the Mexican Short Story,” “Francisco Rojas González’s ‘Los novios’ from a Psychoanalytic Perspective,” “The Literary Elements in Francisco Rojas González’s ‘La triste historial Pascola Cenobio,’” “The Literary Elements in Six Exceptional Detective Stories,” “Anthology Stories by Emilio Carballido,” “Mexican Desert Short Stories,” and “Three Post-Ondero Narrators.” These essays have been analyzed from the perspectives of stylistics, narratology, and psychoanalysis.
