This work is the first Sanskrit – Spanish dictionary with more than 64,000 translated voices.

Based on the author's prestigious Dictari Sànscrit-Català, this dictionary constitutes a revised and improved version, since much of the words have been translated again and the encyclopedic articles on mythology, yoga, philosophy and religion have been rewritten.

One of the most innovative features is the presentation of a double etymology: that of the Sanskrit grammars of the Pāṇini school and that of comparative philology, which allows for a complementary vision of the word. Likewise, the most important meanings to determine the most frequent meaning of Sanskrit voices are highlighted. As for its lexical novelties, the technical terminology of the great philosophical schools of India has been used, especially sāṃkhya, vedānta, nyāya-vaiśeṣika and yoga.

This work is addressed not only to Sanskrit students, but also to a general public interested in the ancient culture of India. For this reason, the volume includes an index of the slogans ordered according to the Latin alphabet.
