The Art of Living is a book especially aimed at young people, in which a practical philosophy of education is exposed. A philosophy, a pedagogy, that has little to do with the current proposals in our schools and colleges. Krishnamurti betrays, first of all, the roots of fear. The repetition of the past, habits rooted in imitation and prejudice, obstruct our consciousness and paralyze our creativity. Krishnamurti preaches freedom and change, a revolution that is not political or social in nature. "Genuine revolution begins, not with theories and ideations, but with a transformation of one's own mind." Such a transformation is the result of an education in deconditioning and aiming at a total development of the human being.
