Santiago Sierra lives and works in Madrid, where he trained as an artist at the end of the eighties. After a stay in Hamburg at the beginning of the nineties, D. F. resided in Mexico between 1995 and 2006. In the Latin American country he developed a corpus of work that was as coherent as it was powerful and catapulted him to the center of the international artistic scene. His work, exhibited in museums and biennials around the world, thematizes work and alienation under the yoke of capitalism.
