This book chronicles the feminist groups in ten states of Mexico that have fought to improve the conditions for women. We felt a text like this was needed. The young women, or "morras," as they call themselves, are unfamiliar with the history of the second wave of feminism that began in the 1970s, and today there is talk of a fourth wave, the "green wave," and femicidal violence. Currently, these women gather in numerous demonstrations demanding #nomecuidan #señorseñoranoseaindiferentenosmatanenlacaradelagente. These slogans are not unlike those used by feminist movements back then: "equal pay for equal work," "against domestic violence," and "for bodily autonomy," which today are known as sexual and reproductive rights. Each stage has had and continues to have its own demands, and this text narrates them through interviews, archival research, and the authors' own memoirs.
