As a general introduction to the ethics of research, this work offers resources for anyone who is dedicated to the scientific field and wants to discover the values ​​that shape their daily practices, as well as to consider to what extent they promote a culture of solidarity responsibility. The ethics of research has become one of the most interesting applied ethics in the knowledge society and the era of globalization. Unlike other applied ethics that affect certain particular areas or certain professional activities, the research activity is at the heart of what defines our time: knowledge and its value or meaning for the life of humanity. That is why, today more than ever, an ethic of research is necessary that, in addition to reconstructing the vocational factor of the research activity as a profession, civically orientates responsibility in a horizon of global solidarity, which does not limit itself to describing the norms or codes that guide clinical research and that discover, clarify and promote the ethical dimension of research activity, now understood in a very broad sense.
