Considered the first book belonging to the genre of science fiction, Frankenstein (1818) tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young medical student in Ingolstadt obsessed with discovering the mysteries of the human soul. Victor creates a body by joining different parts of different men, a creature of almost eight feet. Realizing the mistake and sin he has committed with his experiment, Victor abandons his creature, leaving her helpless. The rejection that she feels from all those she meets arouses anger and the desire for revenge.
