This work corresponds to the first compilation of research carried out in the Knowledge Generation and Application Lines (LGAC), which is one of the Doctorate programs in Architecture and Urbanism Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute, whose main objective is the interpretation of the ordering and vulnerability of habitat and housing. With a historical perspective and contemporary approaches, the research carried out in this line are, among others: disaster risk, habitat vulnerabilities, sustainable habitat, conservation and valorization of architectural heritage, presence and transformation of modern architecture, lighting and thermal comfort, mixed reality, hybrid buildings, impacts of climate change, globalization and megaprojects, financialization of urbanization, urban and residential segregation, vulnerabilities and resilience of large housing complexes in the peripheries, urban mobility and transport, water resources, facilities in settlements of extreme poverty. The different investigations are intertwined by means of transversal axes such as sustainability and gender perspective.
