Opens the book with a hermeneutics of New Spain history of philosophy in which the author, guided more modern understanding and interpreting the history of ideas in Mexico from its true beginnings: from the controversy brought by Agustin Rivera and Agustin de la Rosa on the validity or otherwise of the action of Spain in the teaching of philosophy and science in New Spain.
