Hospitality Against All Odds aims to understand how care is provided in highly fragile environments, where imagination and artistic thinking play an indispensable role. It seeks to reflect on the experience of mediation in a pediatric ICU and to explore avenues for change: considering health as a common good, beyond purely medical considerations; the importance of architecture that listens and weaves connections between imagination and care; how these approaches unfold in other areas, especially in relation to motherhood; and the use of humor and fiction to create stories that connect generations and address complex issues.
