RusticThe aesthetics of the Late Middle Ages, hand in hand with scholasticism, contributes a conceptual system to the metaphysics of proportion and the metaphysics of light. This is, in fact, the ?first systematization? of aesthetic vocabulary. Antiquity had worked on certain contents of this vocabulary, but had not built any system that guaranteed a certain rigor of use. It will be the Late Middle Ages, thanks to the emphasis placed on Aristotelian work and especially on the ?organon?, which will offer aesthetics its first conceptual systematization which, moreover, will constitute the basis of the vocabulary of aesthetic discourse in the following centuries.
