Julio Seoane Pinilla is a professor at the University of Alcalá. A scholar of the eighteenth century, he has published different texts dedicated to the lesser-known Enlightenment: The Moral Policy of Rococo (2000), The Heterodox Enlightenment: Sade, Mandeville, Hamann (1998), The Forgotten Enlightenment (1999), and has prepared the edition of F. Hutcheson, Writings on Virtue and the Moral Sense (2000) as well as various journal articles on contemporary discussions of ethics and political philosophy.
