Since ancient times the universe has been conceived in China as a system of resonances in which there are no things or beings but active forces in perpetual mutation. There is nothing in him that acts separately, nothing that does not depend on everything else. Considering the environment from that perspective can certainly help us in shaping the ecosophy and ethopolitics that are needed today to transform our societies. Never before has the perception of the need for a change of parameters been so pressing and therefore the responsibility to educate ourselves in this regard. The initial teachings of the three currents of thought that this book deals with can help us in this endeavor. Good governance (Confucianism), harmony with the environment (Taoism) and a deep understanding of our own nature (Buddhism) are presented as three essential ingredients to avoid the catastrophe that is coming. That these proposals will ever become together something more than a utopia is really unlikely, but perhaps worth recovering them now from elsewhere.
