This book offers a guide to understanding Capital, by Karl Marx, 20th century Marxism, and the problems of capitalist development and revolutionary politics to the present day.

Jorge Veraza explains the plot structure of this cardinal work of modern critical thought – of the whole and of each of the three volumes that compose it –, comments on select passages and analyzes decisive problems such as the theory of value, the commodity, formal subsumption and real connection of the labor process to capital, the labor process and its relationship with revolution, technological development, the alienation of wealth and history as a function of the exploitation of surplus value and the accumulation of capital, the meaning of reproduction schemes, the laws that govern the historical development of capitalism and the way they operate today.
