Fernando Checa Cremades (Madrid, 1952) is an art historian and professional in various fields of Spanish museography. He is a specialist in Baroque painting from the 17th century and in the relations of the Hispanic monarchy with art. He was Director of the Prado Museum from 1996 to 2001.
