The concept of anti-systemic movements presupposes an analytical perspective on the world system of historical capitalism that, in our opinion, has given rise to a series of local and global anti-systemic movements.

We propose with this work to describe the profile of this process; We will analyze the systemic structural processes that have produced certain types of movements and that have simultaneously shaped the constraints in which they have operated. Similarly, by understanding that the current dilemmas facing these movements are essentially linked to the dilemmas inherent in the concepts of class and status group, we believe that we cannot analyze those, historically or prospectively, without rethinking these two concepts from the perspective of world-systems.

Although the structural processes that gave rise to these movements have had a global scale from the beginning, organizational responses to the present have been produced predominantly local or regional. Thus, given that we believe that new organizational responses with global reach will begin to emerge, we consider it urgent, not only for theoretical but also practical reasons, to reexamine the models and the success obtained by the anti-systemic movements that have arisen until now in the system. -world.
