This volume deals with a triple problem: human life manifests itself in our consciousness, which rests on the myth; the myth leads us to believe that our consciousness manifests reality to us. We have faith in her: we do not have, therefore, any other remedy than to resort to the hermeneutics or interpretation of our life. The first volume is articulated in three sections, which deal with the myth, the symbol and the cult, respectively. Myth is the way human beings express a truth that is not "clear and distinct" for reason and that, nevertheless, is accepted as obvious. For this, the myths resort to metaphors and symbols using the word as a means of logos.
