Raimon Panikkar (Barcelona, 1918) is undoubtedly one of the most prominent representatives of intercultural and interdisciplinary thinking and, as such, his work has drawn on the sources of European and Indian culture, Hindu and Christian, scientific and humanistic. Ph.D. in philosophy, and theology chemical mica, ordained in 1946, has taught at some of the leading universities in America, Europe and India. He is president of the Center for Religious Studies crosscultural, Vivarium Foundation and the Spanish Society of Religions. Panikkar has written over forty books and over a thousand attículos about comparative religion, Indology, philosophy of science and metaphysics.
