The tension between word, concept and idea, and its correlates history terminology, conceptual history and the history of ideas, has been constant, and power struggles have not led to a triumvirate, but usually in the hegemony of one of them, although its etymology and genealogy pointed in that direction._x000D_

Words, concepts, ideas, studies combining the methodology of conceptual history scrutiny of key concepts in the history of thought, from antiquity to the present, especially fruitful for understanding the genesis and the crisis of modernity. It is also an interdisciplinary contribution chronologically covers nearly all times and, unlike most existing work, connecting the theoretical and practical dimensions of the conceptual history, without opting exclusively by the linguistic turn, but opens both the temporal and the iconic twist of the sciences._x000D_

Eidetic collection, designed by Robert R. Aramayo, who directs with Roland and Faustino Oncina Concha, includes case studies, collective volumes and reference texts on the relationship between ideas and ethical values. Its three themes are the history of moral and political ideas, ethical prism of a critical philosophy of history and contributions of conceptual history, all areas studied by the research "Concepts and values' of the Institute of Philosophy CSIC.
