The four volumes of "Overview of Modern Linguistics (from Cambridge University)" provide a comprehensive introduction to ongoing research in all branches of linguistics, covering such specific fields as syntactic theory, the ethnography of speech, the sign language, the mental lexicon, language acquisition, discourse analysis and a long etcetera. Volume III deals with psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics.
