This book is an open window, through it the word of women enters and leaves, of mothers who give birth to new life, also of their companions, midwives and professionals who accompany this search that supports the choice of how give birth and how to breed. This volume narrates the ten years of Migjorn, a birth house in Catalonia. We published it at a time when the medicalization of labor reigns supreme, which is imposed as a one-way highway. But we feel the responsibility to warn that these pages are not a boat to navigate against the current, but only, and it is not a small thing, a small lighthouse, to show those who seek it, and who by chance have to come across this firefly, who you can choose other ways, or build your own. Migjorn makes possible what seemed like a utopia: it offers a space and a time to go through the birth, where to share and cultivate growth. It is a cooperative work project to accompany life from its zero minute, with the sensitivity necessary for a birth without violence, where to seek harmony between nature and culture. Whoever looks out of this window sees, and whoever has seen can no longer be deceived.
