An experience with mothers for early childhood development.

When the baby receives love, warmth and pleasures in his first relationships, his psyche is charged with the necessary energy to try to reproduce these pleasant sensations in any subsequent situation of growth.
The threat of the loss of primary supplies in socially vulnerable populations led the authors of this book to develop an action-research with mothers of children from 0 to 3 years old to think about parenting associated in solidarity with the activity of thought. The synthesis of the intervention is part of the material developed throughout this book, aimed at all those who work in the field of health and education, concerned about the present and future of the mental health of young children.
Based on the stories of mothers and children, the specific characteristics of the exercise of the maternal function in the participating mothers are addressed. Childbirth, childhood stories, bodily encounters with the baby, feeding, the recovery of songs and stories, are presented as irreplaceable historical events that transfer distinctive forms of processing pleasure and suffering in the little ones. The paternal function is also analyzed (through the mother's discourse), as a symbolic operator in the psyche of a child, which enables a certain attraction towards a wider and more diverse space than the one that circulates in the relationships with his mother.
Receiving, weaving and interweaving the stories of mothers and children made it possible to propose lines of intervention and theoretical articulations that engage the exquisite symphony of parenting.
