This work, compiled by Daniel Kupermann, brings together nationally and internationally renowned Brazilian authors who present their perspectives on the importance of Freud's thought today. In addition to psychoanalysis, the authors focus on the influence Freud has had on various fields of knowledge, such as science, philosophy, psychiatry, neuroscience, pedagogy, literature, and healthcare. A stimulating discussion opens a dialogue on how contact with Freud's ideas has contributed to the understanding of the problems of our times and also to the clinical treatment of contemporary malaise.
