Prometheus on the couch represents the practical application to psychotherapy model of moral development , as outlined in the previous work of the author : The error of Prometheus. Although initially conceived as independent reading books , both volumes are supplemented according to the analogy of the error originating in Prometheus who forgot to give the human conscience and moral repair in the therapeutic process , symbolized by the couch. So while the first volume psychopathology occurs as a result of the vicissitudes of the human psyche from evolutionary and structural perspective of moral development , in the second basis for its transformation into therapeutic practice unfold .
