Three parts make up this book: the first is made up of a review of the texts in which Foucault reflects on the question of criticism written between 1978 and 1984; Based on this, the second part analyzes the relationship between criticism and community, under the question of how to understand that criticism is an art of collective disobedience, as well as a way of reading the we that constitutes us; to finally problematize with a current look the science of judgment, characterized as a culture of cancellation, and oppose it to the art of criticism understood as a way of reading the present without judgment. In this way, this book is a reflection on the notion of criticism in the work of Michel Foucault, at the same time that it is constituted as a reading of the present that invites us to abandon the certainty of the sentences.
