The Tijuana of Nestor Robles is built in a land of violence, music and the supernatural. Throughout three movements—Voraz, Chronicles of Montezul and Requiem for Tijuana—the reader becomes witness and victim of werewolves, vampires, cannibals, automatons, madmen, beings of another dimension, story eaters, secret portals, murderers by nature, unexplained infections, frustrated writers... Anyway: the Apocalypse.
In this universe, fiction is confused with life: literature mimics a terrifying and supernatural reality: the only one that seems to be able to explain the rampant and meaningless violence and madness of which the inhabitants of this city are victims and victims.

Requiem for Tijuana is death and transformation, the transition to the world of beasts. And, in the background, it's the music—Dylan, Grateful Dead, Lennon, Townshend, Young—that will continue even after we disappear, like a bitter ballad: the echo of our violent extinction.
