The reason for dreamers Dream of reason is not only a magazine, but a policy of dissemination of South American photography, rooted in principles of integration. Dream of reason is collaborative and its goal is the dissemination, research and enhancement of South American photography. Dream of reason is posed as a cultural platform. We operate with an editorial line that seeks to cover different photographic conceptions of the region, from historical research to the development of contemporary languages. The particularity of this project is its network management structure. Sueño de la Razón is a self-directed and non-profit project, which means that both editors and collaborators participate with the sole intention of contributing to the visibility of South American production. Our project focuses on the possibility of building an identity, through the recognition, analysis and research of local South American production, assuming that through the photographic image that speaks about our context and contemporaneity, because that is where we consider the cultures can become reflected. This under the approach of a photographic production that takes care of its social, cultural, geographic, economic, territorial surroundings. It is a way of putting into context the production and the problem of the image. The extremes and their movements - both theoretical and productive - coexist within the contribution of this collection, research and archive. That's why the collaborators are fundamental for our editorial policy, because we are interested in building a file that can speak to us from the first person, as a direct reference for research and appointments. In this sense, the editors who participate in this project are active members of their respective national photographic communities, in which they work as both authors and managers of photography.
