This book brings together the texts on art that Augusto d'Halmar published in various newspapers and magazines between 1900 and 1950. They are reviews, studies, chronicles and memories of a period marked by the complicity between artists and writers. As a whole, they build a personal history of the artistic scene of the time and realize the active participation of d'Halmar in the cultural development of the country, not only as a writer, witness and art critic, but as an articulator of artistic movements. This is an approach to the past, which allows us to reflect, among other things, on the relationship between literature and visual arts in Chile.
