Joscelyn Godwin is Professor of Music at Colgate University in the United States, and author of numerous books of scholarship: Mystery Religions in the Ancient World "(1981), The Theosophical Enlightenment (1994), Harmonies of Heaven and Earth: spiritual dimension of music from antiquity to the forefront (Polity Press, 1998), The Pagan Dream of the Renaissance (2002) and the Golden Thread (2007). He has also made important translations, among which include the Renaissance allegorical work Polifilo dream. In Atalanta has made the issue of Harmony of the spheres and the prologue of Atalanta's Run, Michael Maier.
