He teaches at the University of Granada, where he received his doctorate, after studying philosophy and theology, with a thesis on humanist thought Erich Fromm. Critique and utopia from Marx and Freud. His teaching and research activities, from philosophical anthropology and philosophy of culture and civic engagement and political activism, have also led him to turn his reflection on the educational problems and especially relevant ethical and political issues in the debates of our society. He has participated and collaborated in specialized periodicals and collective works, or on current topics either on writers of contemporary thought as Ricoeur, Gadamer and Apel. His work includes works such as Keys to a democratic humanist education (1996), Intercultural Education and democratic citizenship. Educational change in the age of globalization (2002) and risk review (2006), in addition to philosophy and cultural criticism (2000) and Internautas and shipwrecked. The search for meaning in digital culture (2003), the last two published in this same Publisher.
