Gregor von Rezzori ( Chernovitz , Bukovina , 1914 , Florence, 1998 ), son of a well-known official Austro-Hungarian Empire , lived in Bucharest , East Germany and Tuscany. He studied medicine and Mining and , thanks to his talent as a cartoonist , he came to literature. He is the author of over twenty novels. He died with international recognition as one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century.
