Riikka Pelo was born in Helsinki in 1972. He is a playwright, essayist and screenwriter. He earned his doctorate at the School of Art, Design and Architecture Aalto University of Helsinki. He worked as an editor of fiction and participated as a writer in the design and installation of multimedia art journey of Tulse Luper, based on the character of the trilogy of Peter Greenaway, and the interactive installation Pia Tikka entitled Obsession, which won the Mobius Award . In 2013 his second novel, Jokapäiväinen elämämme (Our daily life), was awarded the National Prize for Literature in Finland, the most important of the country.
