Heimito von Doderer (Hadersdorf, 1896 - Vienna, 1966). After participating in World War I, and go through several prison camps in Siberia, he decided to be a writer, for he undertakes studies of history and psychology. In 1933 calls for his entry into the National Socialist party, which soon it detaches, horrified. After this experience distills the concept "becoming a human being" who will become central idea of his work and his life. His literary career has been marked by awards, including the Austrian National Award for Arts in 1958, the literary prize of the City of Vienna in 1961 and Wilhelm Raabe Award he received in 1966. In his novels have appeared Cliff Demons ( 2009) and A murder that we all make (2011), as well as short stories and micro-stories (2013).
