Born in Aosta in 1932, he studied at the Liceo Valdense de Torre Pellice in Piemonte, and his undergraduate and doctorate studies at the Università di Roma "La Sapienza". He began his teaching work in 1965 in Urbino, as a free teacher of Moral Philosophy. In 1971 he entered as a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Ferrara where he taught Theoretical Philosophy and Philosophy of Religions, being at the same time the first director of the newborn Department of Human Sciences. Member of the Evangelical Valdense Church worked tirelessly for dialogue between religions. Between the diverse works of which he is author they emphasize: Che cos'è the coscienza storica? (2004); Capitalism and modernity. A Protestant letter; Vocazione e lavoro (2010). And the volume on Religione of the prestigious and voluminous Storia antologica dei problemi filosofici directed by Ugo Spirito. He collaborated intensely in the Quaderni rossi, founded by Raniero Panzieri. He left for his celestial homeland on March 19, 2014
