The prestigious Italian historian presents in this general work a deep investigation into the fascist regime and also offers a very interesting introductory study -prepared especially for the edition in Argentina-, where he recapitulates and analyzes the debates that arose after the appearance, ten years ago, of this already classic and daring work around totalitarianism. The only whole history of the Fascist Party based on unpublished documents and strictly historiographical criteria, the author combines in this work the historical reconstruction and the theoretical analysis and proposes an interpretation of fascism as a totalitarian experiment launched from its origins.
