The perception of violence against women has varied over time, to become considered a social and political problem. Measures to eradicate them take place from different and complementary areas. Institutions and social actors allocate resources, means, time and effort, and yet the effects are far from achieving this objective, when they do not seem contradictory. In addition to reflecting on results, it is necessary to review the theoretical approaches underlying public policy, to the research carried out, as well as the discussions that arise within the various feminmos, and to question how and who is asking the questions that guide these answers.
