Master in Ibero-American Letters from UNAM and in Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis from ENAH. Doctor of Letters from UNAM. Professor at the Universidad de los Andes. FONCA fellow in the Artistic Residences program (2001) between Mexico and Colombia. Fine Arts Award for Literary Essay José Revueltas 1986 for Soliloquy of Intelligence: Towards a Poetics and Singing to a Mineral God by Jorge Cuesta. Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize awarded by the Sor Juan Inés de la Cruz Society of Mexico in 1989. Silver medal for University Merit Gabino Barreda for master's and doctoral studies at UNAM. He collaborated for the Zambinella anthology or the theater of the sign (Bogotá, Uniandes, 2005).
