Pedro Wood Choker (Madrid, 1972). Physician, writer and scientific popularizer. Head of Internal Medicine at the Hospital de El Escorial and professor of History of Medicine at the Francisco de Vitoria University.
Regular collaborator in the radio programs On the shoulders of giants (RNE-5) and Esto me suena. The afternoons of the Citizen García (RNE). He writes weekly in the digital science section of the ABC newspaper and for years in Clío. He is the author of more than twenty books, among which the historical essays Diseases of the Kings of Spain stand out. The Habsburgs (2005), The Bourbon Diseases (2007) and Diseases that changed history (2016). In addition, he is the author of the historical novel The Jewish Doctor (2008), all published in The Sphere of Books.
He has participated as an expert in the History of Medicine in the documentaries The Genetic Spell of Los Austrias (2015) and The Century of the Red Eagle (2015). During 2017, he was a collaborator of the TVE's The Clinical Eye program of La 2.
