Abdelfattah Kilito was born in 1945 in Rabat, where he lives and teaches at the Faculty of Letters. At various times in his life, he has been a professor at the Sorbonne in Paris and at the American universities of Harvard and Princeton. He is the author of twelve essay and non-fiction books, of which only two have been published in Spain so far: Nietzsche's Horse (2005) and The Controversy of Images (2007).
