Between 1855 and 1876 two groups with very different ideas clashed to define a new political Constitution: the Liberals, led by Benito Juárez, and the Conservatives, who allied themselves with the French. The final victory of the Liberals defined the political course of Mexico, as well as its economic growth and the transition to modernity. This work contributes to the knowledge and understanding of a period in the history of Mexico fundamental for its transformation and configuration. In addition, it contains tables and complementary illustrations to interest and amuse the reader.
