Emilio Marcus Rodrigué (Buenos Aires, Argentina, January 9, 1923 - Bahia, Brazil, February 21, 2008) was an Argentine psychoanalyst.
A doctor, he was analyzed by Arnaldo Rascovsky, later training in London in 1947 within the Kleinian school of which he became an original and creative follower. During his stay in London he was an analysand for Paula Heimann. Very much on the left on the political level, he maintained many open fronts, including a certain controversy with the "conservatism" of the Argentine Psychoanalytic Association (APA) of which he was a member.
A sample of his openness and sense of humor is the debate he had with Oscar Masotta after the latter published "A Psychoanalysis for Rodrigué."
He settles in Brazil and diversifies his practice, approaching an integrative psychotherapeutic position.
From the beginning of his career he was interested in the history of psychoanalysis and wrote a biography of Sigmund Freud that was as stimulating as it was original.
In 1986 he received the Konex-Diploma of Merit Award for his career as a psychoanalyst in Argentina.
