Rich Gold (1950-2003) was an artist, composer, designer, inventor, lecturer, and writer, as well as a mock scientist, computer idiot, toy designer, cartoonist, science project manager, corporate brand theorist, futurist, and fellow of the World Economic Forum. Endowed with an exuberant adaptability, he found himself at home both in the underground environments of avant-garde arts, as well as in academia and business, working at various times for Sega, Mattel and Xerox PARC.
