Psychoanalysis was one of the discursive sources that had the greatest influence on the thought of Georges Bataille. Georges Bataille was, and will continue to be, one of the discursive sources with which psychoanalysis cannot omit dialogue or debate.
There is a relationship between the jets that spring from both sources, a relationship in their volume, their power and their temperature.

One way to write this intersection would be to simply write down: Freud-Bataille-Lacan. The meaning of this chain indicates that a good part of Bataille's writing and a good part of Bataille's projects cannot be accurately dimensioned without that primary signifier that is Freud, for what he inaugurated in the reflective task in the West. Likewise, it is obvious that to dimension the Lacanian enterprise we must also refer to Freud. One of the particularities of the work presented here lies in trying to demonstrate that Lacan's return to Freud is not without one or several exploits with Bataille. In short, writing Freud-Bataille-Lacan indicates that it will be common for the reader to wait until the end of a section so that the discursive sequence contained therein makes sense retroactively. That is one of Lacan's main functions in this book.
