This is a book written by Beatriz M. Rodríguez and Carlos F. Weisse. For this reason, Rodríguez states: "The present reflections began with the pandemic. It was at that time that I received the call from Carlos F. Weisse to integrate, with his own text, a collective work. The work aroused such enthusiasm that it led to the opening of the virtual cycle: Psychoanalysts dialoguing with letters. Shortly before the end of the second year of the cycle, Carlos F. Weisse presented his work: 'Dystopia, literature and capitalism'; on that occasion it was my turn to accompany it with the reading of: 'Happiness as an illusion'.

We then noticed a deep affinity of ideas between the two and, understanding that the dialogue thus opened deserved continuity, we set about the task of deepening our analysis of those "dystopias" that were anticipated by literature and that we currently see "materialized" in society. This dialogue was extended until it was reflected in this book."
