Halfdan Pisket (Denmark, 1985). The son of a Turkish-Armenian immigrant, Halfdan Pisket studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 2009 he decided to leave formal studies and begin his career as an illustrator and cartoonist. In 2014, he began the project in which he would tell his father's story: the Danish Trilogy, the first part of which was Deserter, followed by Cockroach in 2015 and Dane in 2016. His work on the Danish Trilogy has become an unprecedented artistic achievement as well as the greatest success of Danish graphic novels in recent decades.
