Mª Teresa Tellería. PhD in Pharmacy from the UCM and Research Professor at the Royal Botanical Garden (RJB-CSIC). Her research activity focuses on mycology, and specifically on the floristic, taxonomic and phylogenetic study of a group of fungi that, by decomposing wood, play a key role in maintaining forest ecosystems. Among other positions, she directed the Royal Botanical Garden from 1994 to 2006, a period during which she promoted the creation of a scientific culture unit. Since 2014 she has been an academic at Jakiunde (Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters). She is the author of several books, book chapters and popular articles, such as Los hongos (CSIC-Los Libros de la Catarata, 2011) and Libro de las setas de Robert Wilson, 1805 (Siloé, 2014), the latter co-authored with F. D. Calonge.
