This book continues the editorial effort of El cuerpo. Estado de la cuestión and the collection El Cuerpo Descifrado to show Spanish-speaking readers the current state of body studies. Art, pleasure and desire are, on this occasion, the path taken by this transdisciplinary reflection. Temas selectos shows in a convincing manner that art, in any of its expressions, constitutes one of the clearest examples of the modes of subjective production in which we find the primacy of desire. Along with the dispositions of desire established by religion and its prescriptions regarding sins and the limits that these define for corporality, sexuality and pleasure, other dispositions play in the possibility of deterritorializing such limits. In this book we note the possibility offered by different artistic expressions such as painting, literature and, very importantly, performances and pornography insofar as they constitute lines of flight that the devices of power hinder. The articles that make up this anthology give centrality to corporality and the dispositions of desire. In these works we can recognize the slippage and escape of various processes called "resistance phenomena" and which have been discussed by such lucid minds as Jean Luc-Nancy or Naief Yehya, included in this volume.
