Naja Marie Aidt

Naja Marie Aidt was born in Greenland and raised in Denmark. She is the author of more than a dozen collections of poetry, a novel and three books of short stories, including Bavian (2006), which received the Danish Critics' Prize and the Nordic Council's Literature Prize, the highest literary award given in the Scandinavian countries. Her work has been translated into sixteen languages. If Death Takes Something From You, Give It Back was a finalist for the National Book Award for international literature, the Kirkus Prize in the nonfiction category and the PEN Translation Award.
