Alessandro Campi

Alessandro Campi was born in 1961.

Graduated in Political Science, he is Full Professor in History of Political Thought at the Department of Political Science, University of Perugia (Italy).

His works have been translated in English, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Ukrainian, and Hungarian.

He has given and organized plenty of speeches and lectures in national and international meetings (Buenos Aires, Murcia, Budapest, Paris, Rome, Krakow).

He tooks part and organized many national and international conference and seminars.

He is member of the Editorial Board of the journals “Storia del Pensiero Politico” (il Mulino, Bologna), “Empresas Política” (Murcia, Spagna), “Carl Schmitt Studien” (Dresden, Germany), "Revista argentina de ciencia politicas" (Buenos Aires).

In 2010 he founded the journal “Rivista di Politica”, of which he is editor in chief (www.rivistadipolitica.it).

He created and is editor of the series “Biblioteca di Politica” for the publisher Rubbettino (since 2010). In this series he published books and translation of the following authors: Raymond Aron, Michael Oakeshott, Carl Schmitt, David Hume, Edward H. Carr, Hans J. Morgenthau, Martin Wight, Aristotle, Pierre Manent, Robert Michels, Gaetano Mosca, Anthony D. Smith, Niccolo Machiavelli, etc.

From 2010 he is Director of the Istituto di Politica (www.istitutodipolitica.it).

From 2010 he is political editorialist of the newspapers “Il Messaggero” (Roma) and “Il Mattino” (Napoli).
