Hugo Herrera Pardo, Chile, 1985. PhD in Literature. Professor at the Institute of Literature and Language Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso. He has co-edited the books Vestige and Speculation: Announced, Unfinished, and Lost Texts of Chilean Literature (2014) and Precisions: Unpublished Writings by Martín Cerda (2014). In mimesis, he has edited The Dispute of Reality and Realism (2018) and The Democratic Masks of Modernism (2nd edition, 2021) by Ángel Rama, and written the prologue to the second edition of The Discourse on the Essay in Argentine Culture since the 1980s (2019).
